Karlskirche - Vienna


The dome and highly ornamented columns of Karlskirche reach into a bright blue sky. Built in the baroque style, this magnificent Roman Catholic Church is dedicated to Saint Charles Borromeo and was consecrated in 1737. Vienna ,Autstria.

Melk Abbey Towers


Founded by the Benedictines in the 11th century, Melk Abbey was rebuilt numerous times over the centuries. Its present Baroque style dates from the early 1700s. Built on a hilltop, Melk Abbey overlooks the Danube River and the town of Melk, Austria, which is a short train ride from Vienna.
